There’s a ton of flavor and a little bit goes a long way.

Why You’ll Like Boon Sauce
If you’re into spice, you’ll definitely like it.
It does have a bit of a thicker consistency to it, so if you like that type of texture, you’ll love it.
Why You Might Not Like Boon Sauce
For those of you who don’t like anything ‘fishy’ at all, you’re definitely not going to like this one. While it doesn’t necessarily have a ‘fishy’ taste, it does have anchovies in it.
Be aware of that.
You might also not like Boon Sauce because it’s not savory or salty enough.
How Spicy is Boon Sauce?
Since Boon Sauce is made in small batches, each batch has its own unique spice level. Our retailer let us know that batch 29 was a little on the spicier side.
Overall, between the batch 29 and batch 37 that we’ve tried, it does sit on the spicier end. 5 to 7 out of 10.
In our experience, batch 29 was spicy but got spicier as we got towards the end of the bottle.
Batch 37 so far has been on the less spicy side, roughly a 5/10.
But a little goes a long way! Make sure you check which batch you have and if you get a chance, talk to the retailer and get their take on it!
What to Use Boon Sauce On

- Dumplings

So far, so good. Of those listed above, fried rice was the winner with Boon.
Let It Air Out
This is a great tip from Danny Yoo who commented on our video. We can confirm that after a while, the flavor did get better after a few days of opening it.
